The story starts in 1971, when Minneapolis had a booming R&B scene and The Valdons—a four-man vocal group—were its crown jewel. They’d just dropped their debut 7", but despite serious local heat, it never broke nationally, and the group soon split.

Decades later, The Valdons have become a sensation in both the Lowrider Souldies and Northern Soul worlds.
